Awesome news.
STX have joined as WLC and NKI event sponsors by donating a number of items to raise funds for the clubs junior development plans for the coming seasons. Youth lacrosse must be invested in and any and all assistance to achieve our goal as a club is hugely appreciated by all involved at Wilmslow Lacrosse Club.
STX Inc was founded in 1970 by Tucker. STX created the double wall, synthetic lacrosse head, which was the first synthetic stick and the only type used to score goals in the first NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship in 1971. Cornell outscored Maryland 12-6 for the win. Every single goal scored during the match was done so with an STX lacrosse head, a dramatic shift from just 12 months prior when wooden sticks were the norm. The new, synthetic type of stick has become the most common in the sport.
STX has pioneered nearly every equipment innovation in the modern game. STX has been credited with numerous contributions to both the men's and women's game with several key products such as the straight double wall head, the mesh pocket, the pinched sidewall head, the open sidewall head, the forward canted head, the aluminium handle, the composite handle, the offset handle. For five decades, STX has been pioneering the sport of lacrosse and bringing new technologies to the game for one reason: to empower higher performance for the athlete.
