Wilmslow A vs Poynton A Match Report Reading Gameday Preview In Short 3 minutes

It's certain to be an action pack weekend with 6 of the Wilmslow Lacrosse teams in action.

We should be immensely proud to be fielding so many teams today, unless you were one of the handful of players that remember the pre and post Covid season then you would not release just how fragile the clubs existence was at that time. The commitment shown by our coaches, managers, players and parents is really paying dividends and we have proved to be the fastest growing lacrosse clubs in the Manchester area over the past 2 years.

Boys U12

The combined Wilmslow and Cheadle under 12's head off to Rochdale this morning. These youngsters continue to put in the hard work each week and hope to grind out a win vs The 'Dale.

Boys U14

A home game vs Cheadle Hulme for the U14's who have faced a tough start to the year being one of the youngest teams at U14 level but they learn and get better each and every training session and game together. It's been hugely rewarding to see so many seniors get involved with coaching this season across al our junior teams.

Ladies

The women's team face tough opposition today against Mellor but the recent good form of the Wilmslow team does mean they'll be going into the game positively vs a team they are yet to beat. The Wilmslow girls have been putting in solid work at practice and this could be their day.

Men's B

Team personal might well differ every week on the B team but the very fact we can field a third team week in, week out is a huge achievement for Wilmslow. The B team hope their youthfulness will help in victory in what will be a "mature" Boardman and Eccles A team.

Men's A

Leeds make the trip to Wilmslow today and unlike recent seasons seem to be playing some good lacrosse despite losing their opening 2 games of the season. WIlmslow are bound to bounce back hard after last weeks lose to a strong Poynton A team and prove that they are a top 3 team in the league.

Men's First

Only the second game of the year to the first team and they look to earn their first points of the season having lost to Brooklands A. You never quite know what kind of a team you will face when playing Stockport A but providing Wilmslow give 100% effort thoughout the 4 quarters and play together as a team they should get the 2 points.
