The ladies face Leeds at home today with Wilmslow looking to bounce back from a tough 20-2 defeat by Oxton. A win should be on the cards today which will boost confidence ahead of their appearance in the Flags weekend Plate Final. The ladies section is growing and the next couple of seasons should see considerably growth of women's lacrosse in Wilmslow and the surrounding area.
After a number of weeks without a game the men's second team will face Leeds away. This is always a tough away fixture due to player availability and Leeds seem to have turned their season around somewhat with much better results post Christmas.
The men's first team play Timperley A for the first team this season and although they sit bottom of the league, Wilmslow cannot show any complacency after the loss to Wacsbury last week. The game will be a test of character and of the squads depth with several players unavailable for carrying injuries. Mark Bowe returns to the team after a solid performance at the face off last week and Jack Parry earns his first appearance for the first team in nearly 3 years injury, surgery and rehab. Perhaps the best off ball player at the club, a good showing by Parry at the end of the year could see him force his way in to the Junior Flags Final team in a few weeks time.
Coach Perrin said "A fit Jack Parry will make team selection tough. Not for me but for other players. He is a grafter off ball, great on the groundballs. He always attends training and does so with a positive attitude. Pazza has been missed from the first team ever since his injury, he's the guy that does a lot of the unglamorous stuff in a game but it's stuff that you need to happen to get the results you need"
